Monday morning (April 5) around 3 a.m., Kodak BlackThe security guard was shot in the leg by anonymous individuals in a car following the rapper and his entourage shortly before, according to one. report of Tallahassee Democrat April 5.
Tallahassee Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Turner confirmed the shooting with the media, saying the incident took place outside the city’s Dewey Street McDonald’s.
Kodak, 23, and his entourage were reportedly followed by several vehicles which attempted to cut them off after the rapper’s departure from Baja’s Beach Club, located on Pensacola Street in Tallahassee. Kodak was in town like a headliner of the Cultur3 Fest on April 4.
The rhymer and his team drove to McDonald’s on Tennessee and Dewey streets, later blocking the entrance to the fast food franchise with a vehicle. Kodak Black reportedly walked into McDonald’s to get food despite his security team trying to get the meal for him.
At that point, the same vehicle that would have been following the Kodak team earlier that night showed up in the parking lot. The vehicle then left the scene and returned shortly after, the occupants firing.
Kodak BlackThe security guard was shot in the femoral artery in his leg and taken to a hospital in Tallahassee, where he was undergoing surgery. The rapper was put in an armored vehicle and taken away from the crime scene.
