Diddy breaks the silence on Black Rob’s death

Follow the news of the former rapper of Bad Boy Records Black Rob’s death last weekend, Diddy broke his silence on the loss of the Harlem, New York rhymer.

On Sunday April 18, Diddy shared a retrospective picture of himself and Black rob, born Robert Ross, whose caption reads: “Stay in power King @therealblackrob! Listening to your records today, there is one thing they all have in common! You have made millions of people in everyone feel good and dance! You are one of a kind! GOD BLESS! 🙏🏿 Love. 🖤💫✨ You will be truly missed !!!! 💔. “

Black Rob, known for his 2000 hit song “Whoa !,” passed away on Saturday April 17th. According to a report by The New York Times Over the weekend, before his death, Rob suffered from a number of illnesses including diabetes, lupus, kidney failure and several strokes. He died at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Last month, Black Rob was released from Piedmont Atlanta Hospital where he had cheated on dialysis.

Mark Curry, another Bad Boy Records artist, revealed Rob’s cause of death as cardiac arrest in a naturally moving Instagram post.

“I thank everyone for the donations. Rob passed away about an hour ago,” said Curry.

News from Black Rob’s death came a week after a video of the New York native lying in a hospital bed was released online in a noticeable amount of pain. In the clip, Rob opened up about his failing health and struggling with homelessness.

“What’s going on, man. What’s going on,” he began in the April 10 video. “I don’t know what the pain is… the pain is insane, man. It helps me, though. It makes me realize I have a lot to do, man.”

An update was provided the next day in which Black Rob, who had been released from the hospital, said, “I’ve been dealing with this, man, for five years, four shots. I don’t know what Tell you, man. Damn, it’s crazy. Damn, it’s hard. I don’t have a house to live in except an apartment that my man and I are trying to get together. I’m telling you, man. This shit is strange, it’s hard. “

Producer Mike Zombie launched a GoFundMe page for Rob on the same day to raise money for the rapper’s medical bills and provide him with some stability. Mark Curry was added to the crowdfunding account as a beneficiary to help funnel funds to the rapper.

Black rob had health problems in the past, before his death. In 2013, he suffered a stroke in his sleep and suffered from stroke related issues afterward.

His latest album, Authentic article, was released in 2015.

Rest in peace, Black Rob.
