DMX’s posthumous album Exodus is coming – listen


Almost two months after his tragic death at the age of 50, DMXposthumous album of, Exodus, arrived.

What might be X’s last ride contains 13 songs. The star-studded tracklist includes names like Jay-Z, Nas (who has two features on the project), Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, The LOX, Moneybagg Yo , Bono and others. the Pop Smoke Collaboration which was to appear on the album did not do the final cut.

The LP is produced by frequent X collaborator Swizz Beatz, who was closely involved with the album. “My brother X was one of the purest and rarest souls I have ever met,” Swizzy recently said in a statement on the project. “He lived his life devoted to his family and to music. Most of all, he was generous with his donations and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X was eager for his fans all over the world to hear and show at how much he appreciated everyone who supported him unconditionally.

X spent time last year in Memphis with Swizz and his team to complete the LP. Sadly, it was not released until his untimely death in April. X, born Earl Simmons, had a heart attack April 2 at his home in White Plains, NY After spending a week in the hospital in intensive care, he died a week later on April 9. commemorated in a public ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on April 24, and buried the next day after a private ceremony.

The legacy continues.
