It has been a decade since discussions about a Duck and Rick Ross a common project has emerged. Presumably put on the shelves, the project may in fact still be in the works, according to a former NFL player.

The fans were delighted to Drizzy and RozayDrake’s latest collaboration, “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” which appears on the new Scary Hours 2 Release. On Friday March 5, former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco fueled the fire over the ongoing OVO x MMG project by revealing news about the two rappers’ joint project in limbo.

The advice came via social media after Spotify’s Rap Caviar Twitter account tweeted, “Drake and Ross have been cooking for a decade, what’s their best collaboration?”

Ochocinco then weighed in with his own retweet, responding with seemingly inside information. “The common album they make together [will] overturn every plan they’ve made to date, ”the retired Miami Dolphins football player replied, accompanied by a silent emoji.

Drake and Ross talks setting up a joint project, tentatively titled YOLO, started in 2011. “I worked on a mixtape with Ross”, Drake said XXL at the time. “A mixtape called YOLO [That means] You only live once. I have been working there for a few weeks. We are not really connected because he went through this situation with his health. I hid my little rhythms and my verses.

The relationship of the two rappers deteriorated a bit in 2015, when Drake had a high profile beef with MMG artist Meek Mill. Ross and Drake settled their differences in 2017, and continued to work together frequently, releasing songs like “Money in the Grave” and “Gold Roses”. Will we finally have the common project that the fans have been waiting for? Time will tell us.
