Duck SZN is almost upon us.
Drizzy is new Boy in love certified the album still doesn’t have a solid release date, but the big boss of OVO continues to hint that the album will arrive sooner rather than later. In his latest revelation on the project, Duck says he finished recording and CLB is in the mixing stages. On Friday, July 9, Drake was a guest on Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday show, where he chopped it up with OVO hosts Mark and OVO Noel. In response to one of the hosts saying his daughter wanted to hear some new music from Drake, the Canadian rap star replied, “You know, Uncle Drake is coming home to mix the album, so she has a bunch of new songs to come. “
Drake then doubled down on the fact that the LP was in the finishing stage. “Definitely on the way home to find my mate and finish this thing, “he said. Later, adding:”CLB on my way. On your head. “
The new album, Drake’s sixth, suffered several delays. It was due out at the beginning of the year, but was rejected by the “And after” rapper. “I was planning on releasing my album this month, but between surgery and rehab my energy was put into recovery,” Drake wrote in an article on his IG story at the time. “I’m lucky to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t drop in January. I can’t wait to share it with all of you in 2021.”
In June, Drake made an appearance at the Ultimate Rap League’s NOME XI fight rap event, where he revealed that the album will be released before the end of summer. It’s been over three years since Drake released his last album, Scorpio.
Is the music worth the wait?
