Gucci Mane, Goldlink, Metro Marrs and more – New projects


The end of the work week brings new music to rock you for the weekend, including the return of one of Atlanta’s most influential rhymers, a Grammy-nominated DMV artist and one of the Music Quality Controlthe most recent signatories.

It’s been a minute since we had a new solo LP from Gucci Mane, but Guwop returns with his first album since 2019, Ice daddy. The new effort has 17 songs including the singles “34 & 8” with Pooh Shiesty and “Crazy shit” with Big30. The cover features a photo of Gucci’s son Ice Davis wearing a few iced-out necklaces and a dripping Gucci designer cut. The child is also listed as the executive producer of the project.

Gold link also returns with his first album in two years. The new native of Washington DC Haram LP was first announced on June 9 while ‘Link took a few not-so-subtle punches from fellow rhymer Sheck Wes. The rest of 2019 Diaspora contains 15 songs. The new offering is led by the single “White Walls”, produced by Rio. Prior to the album’s arrival, Goldlink also released a new track with 2021 XXL First-year student Flo Milli called it “Raindrops.

A week after the release of Migos’ Culture III, Atlanta’s flagship label Quality Control Music continues to release a mixtape by their 18-year-old artist. Marrs Metro. The newcomer recently made headlines for being detained by police during his high school graduation ceremony after raining $ 10,000 on the participants and their senior classmates. Now he’s capitalizing on the buzz with his new first tape, Popular solitaire. Preceded by the singles “Prosper” and “NonChalant”, the release will be the right introduction of Marrs to the world.
