J. Cole Tells Bill Cosby’s Controversial Lyrics in New Freestyle

MusicGateway

J. Cole takes heat for his latest freestyle, in which he loses his name Bill Cosby.

Wednesday (May 12), Power 107’s LA Leakers the radio show dropped a freestyle with the founder of Dreamville Records on Souls of Mischief’s “93 ‘Til Infinity”. In rap, Cole spit from the dome, offering a bar on Bill Cosby that didn’t rub listeners in the right way.

“Or who they chattering is better / Let’s face it, he’s one of the best / No Bill Cosby shit, but if niggas is sleeping then fuck her / Most niggas don’t understand me / I don’t the GRAMMYs, I’m in my jammies on the couch / Most niggas don’t get me, ”he said.

Bill Cosby is currently incarcerated and serve three to ten years in prison for aggravated indecent assault. Cosby has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting 60 women. Given the reason for the actor’s / comedian’s incarceration, fans took to social media to express their disappointment in front of the rapper’s bar.

“I thought J. Cole’s freestyle on the LA Leakers was pretty solid, outside of that Cosby line that shouldn’t have gone through the first draft process,” one Twitter user wrote.

Cole’s latest freestyle comes days before Rymer’s upcoming studio album is released The off-season. The LP is due out on Friday (May 14). Low season will likely help usher in the next projects leading up to the much anticipated J. Cole The fall album, which he started teasing in 2018.
