Jackboy was arrested in Georgia for possession of firearms.
The Kodak Black the affiliate was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Monroe County, Georgia on February 23 and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon XXL confirmed by police records. He was first arrested after police noticed that the driver of the vehicle he was in, a blue Lamborghini SUV, was not keeping his lane on the road, TMZ reports. Police said they smelled marijuana in the vehicle, prompting a search. During the search, a 9mm and a Glock were discovered by authorities in the passenger seat glove compartment where Jackboy was seated.
Jackboy, born Pierre Delince, denied knowing the guns were in the vehicle and another passenger in the backseat took credit for owning the guns. However, due to Jackboy’s criminal status, he is not allowed to be in the immediate vicinity of a gun. The rapper was booked and spent the night in jail before posting $ 2,500 bail and bailing out the next day. The other passengers got off with a verbal warning for the weed.
XXL contacted Jackboy’s team for comment on the arrest.
Jackboy is no stranger to the law. It was stopped in August 2019 for tampering with evidence, possession of weeds, violation of probation and some vehicle violations in Florida. He was also arrested on charges of aggravated battery and theft with a firearm on August 23, 2017, and spent a year in a Henrico County, Va., Jail on unrelated charges in 2018.
