Lil jon is changing gigs and will be renovating homes on a TV screen near you.
According to a report by Page six Tuesday (May 18), Hip-hop dj landed a home improvement show on HGTV called Lil Jon wanna do what? The premise of the program is that Lil Jon offers “skeptical homeowners surprisingly unconventional home improvement ideas that seem impossible to execute.”
On the show, HGTV says, “His intrepid team can take Lil Jon’s creative vision – to maximize features that owners overlook or never considered – and make it a reality.”
The Atlanta native also opened up about his latest adventure in a statement, “I love walking into someone’s house and turning it upside down. When people hear my name, they automatically think… fun. This same energy also applies to my designs. I love following design trends – I would rather be the trailblazer. “
The point of sale notes that Lil jon will work with Anitra Mecadon from Mega Dens of DIY Network. The show, which would be filmed this month in the ATL zone, is set to premiere this summer.
Jon also teased his new program via his Instagram page yesterday.
“SOOOO HAVE WORKED ON THIS FOR A TIME AND CAN FINALLY TELL YOU ABOUT MY NEW SHOW WITH @anitramecadon ON @hgtv” LIL JON WANTS TO DO WHAT? !! “O I… GOOD, you just watched,” he captioned the post.
Lil Jon clearly worked hard. Earlier this month, he launched a NFT Collection on the digital marketplace platform, OpenSea, which features the rapper’s ad-libs and slogans, beats from 2005, and a bling-encrusted pimp mug.
