The new arrest comes less than a month later Reese was grazed in the eyes in a Chicago parking lot shooting following a dispute over a stolen Dodge Durango.
Reese was shot and killed with two other people in the Grand Plaza parking lot near 6 West Grand Ave. Before the shooting, a man reported the theft of the Durango and tracked it down to the parking lot via a GPS device. The man told police he tried to stop the men in the vehicle when someone outside the SUV started shooting at the car. Those in the vehicle fired back but were hit by bullets. A 27-year-old man was repeatedly beaten in the body and taken, along with Reese, to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition. A 20-year-old man was hit twice in the knee and transported undamaged to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital in Cook County.
Despite graphic images that surfaced following the incident that showed Reese was bleeding and appeared to come in and out of consciousness, Reese was listed in fair condition. He seems to have recovered quickly from his injuries.
