As a result of reports that Lil uzi vert allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Byrd, last week Brittany spoke out via social media.
On Wednesday July 7, Uzi’s longtime ex-girlfriend tweeted, “Don’t you all say you protect black women? I’m a black woman.”
Over the July 4 bank holiday weekend, additional complaints surfaced on the Internet in connection with the physical altercation between Brittany Byrd, Lil Uzi Vert and SAINt JHN in the West Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Brittany manager Brianna told The Shade Room that Uzi assaulted her ex, leaving her injured and in need of medical attention. The manager went on to say his client had a midday meeting with SAINt JHN and manager Jeymes Samuel at the Dialog Cafe near Sunset Blvd. around noon on July 2 when Lil Uzi arrived in a Cadillac Escalade and went out to confront Byrd.
The Philadelphia rapper reportedly punched Byrd in the face several times and pointed a gun to his chest before leaving the scene, the manager said. The report also notes that SAINt JHN was not involved in the incident, as previous reports claimed.
Initially, TMZ published an article that said that Uzi and SAINt JHN had a fight at Dialog Cafe and Uzi allegedly threw a punch at JHN, who didn’t land. Lil Uzi would then have fallen to the ground and a gun fell on him. Brittany would have withdrawn from the table where she, SAINt JHN and others were seated. At that point, Uzi allegedly put a gun to her stomach and hit her.
She would then have consulted a doctor.
In March, Brittany Byrd and SAINt JHN were spotted together in Los Angeles, but there was no confirmation on the status of their relationship. However, Brittany’s manager says the two have a strictly professional relationship.
