In December 2020, TMZ met Lil Yachty at the Los Angeles International Airport. There the rapper showed his support for Trevor Wilkinson, a 17-year-old student presenter at Clyde High School in West Texas, who received a school suspension (ISS) for wearing nail polish to school in November of the year last.
Yachty explained how Wilkinson is placed in the ISS to express himself with nail art. “Why do we still have barriers?” He began. “If someone wants to speak out and it doesn’t hurt or bring anyone down, they should be allowed to do so. I don’t see the point.”
Speaking with the outlet, the Atlanta rapper also announced that he will be dropping his own nail polish line. “I worked on my own developing nail paint,” Yachty revealed. “It’s called Crete.”
