NLE Choppa was arrested in Davie, Fla., Sunday March 28 on several charges including burglary, drug and firearms charges.
According to inmate records obtained by XXL today (March 29) the Memphis rapper, born Bryson Potts, was arrested by the Davie Florida Police Department for burglary in an unarmed unoccupied facility, carrying a concealed gun, possession of 20 gram cannabis less / Synth Cann 3 less GM and Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax). He is currently located at the Broward County Sherrif’s office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, approximately 20 minutes from Davie, Florida. The 18-year-old rapper has $ 4,500 on bail.
According to an affidavit of arrest obtained by XXL On Monday, Choppa admitted to police he jumped over a door at a tow yard in Davie, Fla., To retrieve a watch from a towed vehicle following a separate incident. The vehicle the rapper was trying to locate, however, was not on that particular towing ground. The towing lot manager signed an affidavit in favor of prosecution. NLE Choppa was accompanied by two other people, Zyrion Matlock and Thony Coleman, who were also arrested.

NLE Choppa’s recent arrest comes months after speaking out for Famous Dex in the midst of the Chicago rapper’s battle with alleged drug use. In November, Choppa, who had been promoting healthy eating habits and positivity via social media, called Dex’s label 300 Entertainment for not stepping in and helping her artist in some sort of rehabilitation effort. .
