INTRO: The Notorious BIG
(“Fuck all you hoes!”
Yeah, this album is dedicated
To all the teachers who told me that I would never be nothing
To all the people who lived above the buildings that I jostled in front of
Called the police when I was just trying to earn money to feed my daughter (it’s alright)
And all the niggas in the fight
Do you know what I’m saying? It’s alright baby baby

VERSE 1: The Notorious BIG
It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up! magazine
Salt-n-Pepa and Heavy D in the limo
Hang pictures on my wall
Every saturday Rap attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my gang rock ’til my gang skip
Smokin ‘weed in Bambú, sipping on Private Stock
A long time ago when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the matching hat
Do you remember Rappin ‘Duke? Duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought hip-hop would go this far
Now I’m in the spotlight because I rhyme loudly
Time to get paid, explode like the World Trade
Born a sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucie B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starski
I’m gonna explode like you thought I would
Call the nursery, same number, same hood, it’s alright
And if you don’t know, now you know, nigga

CHORUS: Total & Diddy
You know very well (yeah)
Who you are (money, bitches and clothes)
Don’t let them hold you back (Bankrolls, yeah, haha)
Reach for the stars (it’s alright)
You had a goal (come on)
But not that much (everything is fine)
Because you are the only one
I’ll give you good and a lot (Check it out)

VERSE 2: The Notorious BIG
I made the change from an ordinary thief
To be close and personal with Robin Leach
And I’m far from cheap, I smoke skunk with my homies all day
Spread love, that’s the Brooklyn way
The Moët and Alizé make me piss, the girls told me
Now they write letters because they miss me
I never thought it could happen, that rap thing
I was too used to packing gats and stuff
Now the honeys play close to me like butter play toast
From Mississippi to the East Coast
Condos in Queens, Indo for Weeks
Seats exhausted to hear Biggie Smalls speak
Live life without fear
Put five karats in my little girl’s ear
Lunches, brunches, interviews by the pool
Considered a fool because I dropped out of high school
Stereotypes of a misunderstood black man
And it’s still all good
And if you don’t know, now you know, nigga

CHORUS: Total and Diddy
You know very well (come on)
Who you are (Bankrolls)
Don’t let them hold you back (clothes)
Reach for the stars (mansions)
You had a goal
But not that much (everything is fine)
Because you are the only one
I will give you good and a lot (94)

VERSE 3: The Notorious BIG
Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis
When I was broke, man, I couldn’t imagine that
50 inch screen, silver green leather sofa
I have two rides, a limo with a driver
Telephone bill on two G’s apartment
No need to worry, my accountant takes care of it
And all my crew is lounging
Celebrate every day, no more public house
I think back to my one-room cabin
Now my mother throws an Ac ‘with minks on her back
And she loves to show me of course
Smile every time my face lifts Source
We used to fuss when the owner dispelled us
No heat, I wonder why we missed Christmas
Birthdays were the worst days
Now we sip champagne when we’re thirsty
Uh, damn, I love the life that I live
‘Cause I went from negative to positive and that’s it (it’s alright, nigga)
And if you don’t know, now you know, nigga

CHORUS: Total, The Notorious BIG and Diddy
You know very well (the money)
Who you are (Hoes and clothes)
Don’t let them hold you back (Bankrolls)
And if you don’t know, now you know, nigga
Reach for the stars (that’s right)
You had a goal (everything is fine)
But not that much (everything is fine)
‘Cause you’re the one (east coast, represent)
I will give you good and a lot (Come on)
And if you don’t know, now you know, nigga

POST-CHORUS: The Notorious BIG and Diddy
Representative B-Town in the house (Biggie Smalls)
Junior Mafia, crazy flavor (Bad Boy)
Uh, uh, yeah, aight (I see you, Cooch)

CHORUS: Total
You know very well
Who are you
Don’t let them hold you back
Reach for the stars
You had a goal
But not that much
Because you are the only one
I will give you good and a lot

OUTRO: Diddy and Total
Biggie Smalls, it’s alright, nigga
Junior Mafia, it’s alright, nigga
Bad boy, it’s alright, nigga
It’s perfect
That’s right, 94
And again and again and again and again
You know very well
It’s perfect
Who are you
Yeah
Don’t let them hold you back
Reach for the stars
