OTF, OMB Peezy, Molly Brazy and more: new projects this week

The country has been in uncharted territory for almost a year due to the pandemic. And although it may seem overwhelming, the hip hop The community has made sure to release new music to help rap fans get through these uncertain and relentless times. This week is no different.

Only the family, Lil durkthe label and the rap collective release their compilation album Loyal Bros. Chicago-raised rappers come up with 22 new songs featuring a mix of punchy rhymes and well-tuned vibes. Along with bars from Durk, King Von, Booka600, Timo, DoodieLo and more, there are also appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Tee Grizzley, EST Gee and a host of others. The LP pays homage to the late King Von, shot dead in Atlanta last November and OTF Nunu (alias Nuski), who died in 2014. The FEO abandoned the Family first project back in 2019.

Mobile, Ala.-born and Sacramento, Calif.-Rhyme high OMB Peezy released his latest album, Too deep for tears. Last month, Peezy officially announced the arrival of the effort. “FINALLY MY STORY TOO DEEP FOR TEARS everywhere on March 5,” he tweeted on February 22. In addition to sharing news of the new album, the rapper released a two-minute trailer detailing his life story from his childhood to the present day. Prior to that, he released the melodic and vulnerable track “Love Is Blind”, the visual of which was delivered on February 28th. OMB Peezy, who was arrested earlier this week for his connection to a shooting on a set of a Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg music video last month, haven’t released an LP since Preach in the streets in 2019. However, last year he offered his mixtape, Waiting.

Detroit Molly brazy also dropped new music. Following the release of its 2019 offer, Built to last, the mixtape of the midwestern rhymer, Molly rose, arrived Tuesday (March 2). The 10-track strip contains appearances from Mozzy from Sacramento and more. Molly delivers boastful and fierce rhymes over solid production and D-Town inspired beats. There are also Auto-Tune-infused rap tracks. The 22-year-old artist teased his latest outing via social media until he arrived.
