The emblematic group, The Beatles, dominated the rock scene in the 1960s when OutKast marked their name in hip-hop culture throughout the 1990s to the present day. However, a debate erupted on social media recently over who is the better of the two and OutKast has suggested that they are the ultimate music group.
On April 4, Ron Funches, actor and host of Minced 420 on Discovery Plus, tweeted that the Atlanta-bred duo are better than the UK group. “When society admits OutKast is better than The Beatles, we can really start to heal,” Funches typed. Then, on Wednesday April 7, OutKast retweeted the post, simply putting on the eyes emoji, suggesting they agree they are better than the group from Liverpool, England.
One person wrote: “The Beatles stole the southern black and added it to the British white. Outkast stole Mars and added it to southern urban black. Outkast wins. Then.
Another said, “Think of it this way: Anyone can name at least one Outkast song. Not everyone can even name a Beatles song. Outkast could do Come Together, but the Beatles can’t. not do Wheels Of Steel or Players Ball. “
A third person didn’t feel the comparisons. “Outkast is good music for some, beatles for others. Music is subjective and you should stop arguing over which artist is ‘better’,” the Twitter user said.
