Pooh Shiesty surrenders to police for involvement in shooting

Winnie the Pooh is currently in custody following a shooting that took place at a strip club in Miami last month.

A representative from the Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed XXL On Tuesday June 8, Pooh, born Lontrell Williams, surrendered to authorities in connection with a shooting incident at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami on May 30.

According to a report in the Miami Herald today, the 21-year-old rapper reportedly shot a security guard in the leg at the northwest Miami-Dade strip club over Memorial Day weekend. Shortly after the incident, video footage began circulating on social media showing Pooh walking out of the room with what appears to be a gun stuck in his waist.

Bradford Cohen, the artist’s lawyer, also confirmed that Pooh had surrendered to the police.

Police records obtained by XXL this afternoon indicates that Winnie the Pooh is currently housed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Florida with an aggravated battery charge. He did not receive a deposit.

In October 2020, the Memphis rapper found himself in legal trouble not far from Miami, in the Bay Harbor Islands region of Florida. According to local reports, Pooh was allegedly involved in a shooting on October 8, 2020 in the parking lot of the condos in East Bay Harbor, located across from the Bay Harbor Islands Police Station and Town Hall.

It is not known what triggered the incident, but the 1017 Records rhymer drove to the resort parking lot in a McLaren sports car that was spotted in video footage with a Mercedes Benz Maybach. Shots were fired and a man, who appeared to be injured, limped back towards the Benz, which then left the field. The McLaren followed the Benz soon after.

Winnie the Pooh was arrested and detained at TGKCC, the same facility where he is currently detained, on October 13, 2020. He has been the subject of numerous charges such as armed robbery, aggravated assault and theft.
