Swae lee and Slim Jxmmiof half-brother was reportedly charged with the murder of their stepfather, which took place last year.
Wednesday (March 17), TMZ revealed that 19-year-old Michael Sullivan has been charged with first degree murder for the death of Floyd Sullivan Jr., Michael’s biological father and Rae Sremmurdher stepfather. Sullivan does not face the death penalty for the murder, but he does consider life in prison if convicted. The teenager is also currently in custody and it is not known when he will reappear in court or if the case will go to trial.
Lee County, Mississippi District Attorney John Weddle reportedly confirmed the indictment was decided after a grand jury heard testimony in January this year. However, he did not provide much information about the shooting, except that the father suffered at least one gunshot wound in the incident which took place on January 6, 2020.
Details surrounding the shooting that took place in Mississippi are still unknown. Michael Sullivan was held in a mental institution as person of interest in the crime that followed the shooting last January. His placement in the facility came after police discovered Floyd’s body. No other suspect has been identified.
Rae Sremmurd’s mother, Bernadette Walker, has also provided information on her son’s state of health, revealing that Sullivan suffers from schizoaffective disorder. The disease, similar to schizophrenia, has side effects, including mood swings and delusions. It is not currently known how this information influenced the jury’s decision. However, Sullivan reportedly received a psychiatric assessment before being sent to prison.
