Report: fans are upset after 6ix9ine refuses to perform at the show

6ix9ine was apparently not so humble to the spectators in Humble, TX.

According to a report on Click2Houston.com, posted on Monday, June 28, hundreds of fans were unhappy with Tekashi’s refusal to perform during a show at the city’s Humble Civic Center on Sunday, June 27. Fans who have waited hours for the Rapper “Gummo” presenting themselves were abruptly invited to leave without any explanation.

One disappointed fan was Mya Aguilar, 15. Apparently his dad paid $ 400 for his ticket to see 6ix9ine as a quinceañera gift. She even dyed her hair blue and purple for the occasion. “I really like his music,” Mya says. “I get his notifications every time he drops a music video or posts to Instagram.”

According to his father, George, onlookers waited patiently for several hours to see 6ix9ine went on stage, but he never showed up. “The next thing you know, people started booing,” the father recalls. “Throwing bottles of water on the stage, cans of beer, and some people said he’s gone, he’s gone.”

According to TMZ Mon 28 June the 25-year-old artist bailed out the show after saying he only received $ 70,000 of the $ 250,000 in performance fees owed to him.

Mya says the whole situation has devastated her. “It hurts, I really wanted to see him, I was a big fan, well I’m a big fan of him and it hurts deep down because they (his parents) tried”, she adds .

Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster were reimbursed, according to Click2Houston.com.

However, Mya’s dad was unable to get a refund through Eventbrite where he purchased the tickets. Nonetheless, Mya’s family would at least like an apology from 6ix9ine.

XXL has contacted the Humble Civic Arena and a 6ix9ine rep for comment on this.
