Sheff G sits in a New York City jail after being arrested last week on a gun charge.
According to arrest documents obtained by XXL, Brooklyn, 22 rapper drill, born Michael Williams, was arrested on July 15 for criminal possession of a weapon, which is a Class C felony. He was incarcerated at the Otis Bantum Correctional Center in East Elmhurst, NY. “No suburbs” The rapper’s bail has been fired, meaning he will have to stay behind bars until he meets a judge during his next court appearance on August 18.

This is the second time this year that Sheff G has been arrested for possession of firearms. In January, he was reportedly arrested in East Flatbush, NY with a loaded .45 caliber handgun after being arrested for making an illegal U-turn. In this incident, he was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two traffic violations.
Sheff’s most recent arrest came on the same day Winner’s Circle signatory Eli Fross was arrested for a cheeky shootout in Times Square. Fross, née Elija Quamina, is currently facing attempted murder and weapons charges. He is accused of repeatedly shooting a man in an alleged road rage incident. It is not known if either incident is related.
Sheff is a staple of the Brooklyn drilling movement and had a big year in 2020, dropping plans Proud of me now and The one and only. Last month he released the new single “Start Some Shyt”.
These rappers have been in serious trouble with the police.
