The service is scheduled to take place on Saturday (April 24) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The ceremony will take place two weeks after the announcement of the 50-year-old rapper’s death on April 9. The outlet says the proceedings will not be open to fans despite the 19,000-person capacity of the event space. This is likely due to COVID-19 restrictions. It is assumed that DMX and Kanye West had a semi-close relationship after MC “Ruff Ryder’s Anthem” appeared at ‘Ye’s Sunday service in March, April and June 2019. X led the services in prayer.
“I am the object of your affection, your favor surrounds me like a shield and the first thing people come in contact with is my favorite shield,” X begins, saying a prayer during the Sunday service in March. “The doors that were once closed are now open for me. I receive preferential treatment and special privileges. I am God’s favorite child.”
Details about the veteran rapper memorial service started to emerge at the end of last week. TMZ has confirmed that the rapper’s service will take place at the Barclays Center on April 24 with a private funeral service for close friends and family of X on Sunday (April 25).

There is currently no word on whether Kanye West will attend the DMX funeral.
