Young Dolph and Key Glock and more – New projects this week


Spring is a time of renewal as the winter chill thaws and the cool 70 degree breeze becomes a constant before the onset of summer. Vic Mensa, Young dolph and Glock Key, and Rod wave coming out of hibernation to deliver their latest projects.

Memphis rappers Young Dolph and Glock Key launch their second full project Dum and Dummer 2, as a Paper Route Empire duo. Much like the first project, the two rappers pay tribute to the best friend movie of the 1990s with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. The chemistry between Dolph and Glock intensifies as the two rimers swap bars back and forth on tracks like Churchy “Aspen” and “Sleep With the Roaches”. The LP has 20 songs in total.

Vic Mensaof I type, which is presented to fans by Roc Nation, makes its long-awaited debut. Chance the Rapper, Zacari, Jeremih, Wyclef Jean and others offer voices for this listening to seven tracks. I type allows the rhymer to take a political stance on tracks like “Shelter” and “Fr33dom”, which explore social and political issues around the world. New version follows Chicago rapper V band, which fell last August.

After understanding the dispute that put his second studio album on hold, Rod waveSecond year LP of 19 titles, SoulFly becomes available to music listeners. Rod’s heartfelt “Mixed Signal” appears on offer with “Street Runner” and “Richer” featuring Polo G. As always, Rod delivers a touching project that opens the melodic rapper to his fans.
