YSL’s Slime Language 2 album debuts at No. 1 on Billboard


Young thug gave his team a big win in the form of a No.1 album.

Sunday (April 25), Billboard announced the top 10 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart, which revealed Young Stoner Lifecompilation album, Slime Language 2, debuted at No.1. According to official Nielson SoundScan figures, YSL’s latest release moved 113.00 equivalent album units, including 1,000 pure album sales. This makes it the second biggest rap debut of the year, after Rod Wave’s SoulFly, which debuted at 130,000 UAE.

SL2 features 23 songs with features from record label artists Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Duke and more, plus high powered cameos from Drake, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Meek Mill and other. The only, “Ski” has triggered quite a challenge on social networks. A deluxe version of the album was released on April 23, with additional help from DaBaby, Jim Jones and more.

Young thugthe first compilation of labels from Tongue Slime, was released in August 2018 and debuted at # 8 on the Billboard 200 chart after shifting 40,000 equivalent album sales. It featured Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Tracy T and more.

This year, hip-hop’s dominance at the top spot in the 200 chart has declined significantly. In 2021, the # 1 spot was only spoken by one hip-hop artist three times, as opposed to that time last year when all but four of the # 1s were from hip-hop artists.

Other hip-hop artists in this week’s top 10 Billboard 200 charts include Rod Wave (SoulFly, No.6), The Weeknd (The strong points, N ° 8) and Pop Smoke (Aim for the stars, aim for the moon, No. 10).
